Landscape Animated with Musicians, Shepherds and Fishermen has been attributed to the Italian neo-classical painter Antonio Zucchi (1726-1795). In this work, a quiet countryside is dotted with activity – a muscian serenading his lady and a gathering of animals and friends, men fishing and off in the distance a group of shepherds with their flock. The landscape shows a virtually limitless rolling plain under a partly cloudy sky that seems tranquil, yet is blooming with all sorts of activity.
