…by the famous artist Patrick Nasmyth
Painting by the famous Scottish artist Patrick Nasmyth (1886-1831) of a broad dock plant. Nasmyth often wandered the countryside in search of plants that struck his fancy. It’s no wonder this invasive weed with its large leaves and red flowers would capture his attention in this watercolor over traces of graphite on paper.
