…by the famous artist Patrick Nasmyth
Painting by the famous Scottish artist Patrick Nasmyth (1886-1831) of an English countryside. Over half of the canvas is dedicated to the cloud-filled sky and much of the rest is covered with green grass and trees. Several people are walking along a country lane and within a few more steps would have been out of the picture completely. While the people provide a small detail for interest it is the clouds and green landscape which are the true focal points of this painting.
