We hope to showcase many great famous U artists with surnames starting with the letter U. To get this section started we’ve started with the famous artists Paolo Uccello and Lesser Ury.
Uccello was a Florentine painter of the Early Renaissance. His lasting contribution to the art world is not his fine paintings but his study of perspective.
Ury was a German Impressionist who was one of the most important pastellists of the 19th Century. The world is lucky to have any examples of his work since, as a Jew, his work was among that targeted for destruction by the Nazi Regime.
